In the Summer of 2023, we introduced our First Annual Community Pick Me Up. The Open Door Project’s board of directors, staff, volunteers, program participants, and members of the community gathered together to pull weeds, plant flowers, and pick up trash.

A team of roughly fifty people worked together to gather one truck bed of litter, half a trailer of weeds, and half a dumpster of trash while also planting 25 perennials, and 45 potted plants to give to members of our community.
